 Built in 1958 it withstood the Great Earthquake of 1964. In 1988 nationally renowned architect Roger Dalrymple added the solar addition, and in 1998 Crittenden and Crombie added Grandpa's unique handicapped sunroom. We are a healthy smoke-free home.
The two Garden suites have private entrances, kitchenettes fully equipped with breakfast provisions for a healthy continental breakfast, color TV, phone, and adjacent laundry facilities. The larger Executive suite features two separate bedrooms, a full living room, private bath, country kitchen, and comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests. The Studio suite features a queen bed and a fold-out queen futon, fireplace, kitchenette, private bath, and easily accommodates parties of 4. All suites are pet free to accommodate guests with allergies.
The private room in the B&B is furnished with antiques, color TV, phone, shared bath, and quiet privacy for the busy traveler; a hearty continental breakfast is provided in the breakfast nook or picnic area. The main house is the only pet-friendly area where we have a shy old matronly singing cat, "Chunkers."
Area Attractions and Activities: Founded in 1988, this historic exclusive downtown bed and breakfast is walking distance to all downtown shops and tourist attractions; to Denali Park tennis courts, to duck watching at Westchester Lagoon; to biking on the coastal ocean trail; and to viewing wild flowers and mountain sunsets.
