 Great attention has been made to designing our guest rooms to provide every amenity you may need including: private bathrooms en suite; air conditioning; gas fireplaces featuring the original hand carved mantles; quality linens and plush towels; private label soaps and shampoos; hairdryers; and individualized lighting for the reading enjoyment of each guest. The Mountain Rose Inn has a beautiful lawn and pool area suited for outdoor weddings with up to 75 guests. Secluded on 100 acres of land and open all year long, the inn is the perfect place to enjoy strolling the lawns and gardens; visiting the local wineries including the Chateau Morrisette winery and the Villa Appalaccia winery; fishing along the banks of the creek; enjoying local bluegrass music in Floyd, Virginia at the General Store; taking a dip in our pool; touring the Blue Ridge Parkway and the towns of Stuart, Bassett, Hillsville, Mount Airy or the Roanoke Valley; hiking the deer trails in the surrounding hills. Each morning, by the glow of the oil lamp, breakfast is elegantly served on antique silver and china. This four course meal includes our own blend of fresh ground coffee, low fat granola, seasonal fruits and/or homemade breads, house favorites such as blueberry stuffed French toast, Italian sausage and egg bake, pecan puff pancakes, bacon or sausage, and scrumptious breakfast desserts like strawberry chocolate shortcakes.
