Step back in time & experience the romance of the 19th Century. Built in 1866, the historic Mansion is a luxurious villa located 7mi from the action of Saratoga Springs & 25 minutes from spectacular Lake George.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The house is full of striking details, 6 fireplaces with massive mantelpieces, original Waterford chandeliers, etched-glass doors, parquet floors, and even an unsigned Tiffany in the gracious main entrance. The Mansion has been elegantly furnished in fine Victorian antiques. All bedrooms have private baths.

The Mansion sits in a grove of giant tiger-tailed Spruce making use of over 3 acres, complete with pond to provide guests with a perfect playground. At the Mansion you're treated like royalty.

All rooms are equipped with individual air-conditioning, cable TV, fine bedding by Croscill, Internet cable access, clock radios, bath amenities by L'Occitane. In the evening join guests and neighbors for cocktails in our middle parlor by the fireplace.

To the rear of the property is the idyllic pond complete with fish, tadpoles, and a cascading stream and our resident exotic ducks, geese & swans. A blanket, good book, and perhaps a bottle of wine will make a sunny afternoon a perfect personal escape.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Being just 3 hours from NYC, Montreal & Boston makes the Saratoga Springs area a perfect destination for your escape. Across from the Mansion is both an old mill pond (most famous fishing spot in Saratoga Co) and acres of hiking trails complete with old railroad and mill ruins to explore.

Saratoga Springs has a wealth of activities; SPAC is the summer home of the NYC ballet, Phil Orch, Opera, Jazz Festivals & Events. The National Museum of Dance & The National Racing Museum are great rainy day activities. The Thoroughbred Track is the most famous in the Nation making Saratoga the "August" place to be. The mineral baths are a great way to relax. The area is rich in history. Visit the Revolutionary War Saratoga Battlefield, U.S. Grant home or just walk the streets of 1870 America. For the sports minded try Lake George, white water rafting, golf, horseback riding, and remember, you're only a brief trip away from both Gore Mountain and Vermont for some of the best ski areas in the East.
