![]() The ambience of this home is seen on the exterior as well as the interior. Gracefully capturing the beauty of this home are two large pine trees. These trees are believed to be the oldest Deodar Cedars on this side of the Mississippi, over 150 years-old. You are welcomed with a large veranda for relaxing in a private atmosphere. Step into the beautiful atrium, with beautiful Victorian fretwork dividing the main atrium from the rear atrium. There are 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a private bath and amenities for your comfort. Several common areas provide relaxation, socializing, game playing, snacks and drinks for the duration of your stay. The home is furnished with mainly antique furniture and collectibles, accented with Lanie's love and collection of vintage linens for all to enjoy. Guests are served a full warm breakfast on the weekends in the formal dining room. Continental breakfast provided during weeknight stays in the upstairs kitchenette area. (warm breakfast is available at a fee) The Innkeepers, Lanie and Richard will do all possile to make your visit comfortable and rememberable. Area Attractions and Activities: The City of Abbeville is known as the "Birthplace and Deathbed of the Confederacy." Construction of the quaint square started in 1785. Enjoy shopping, dining and the historical charm along the square and down the side streets. There are mapped walking routes available for historic sites and homes, which can be done in a 20-30 minute stroll along the treed sidewalks, or enjoy it on a bike, complimentary to our guests. County of Abbeville: "South Carolina National Heritage Corridor": Beautiful topography and several nice State Parks, National Forest and Lakes. The area provides great fishing, boating, swimming, picnicking, biking and golf courses. All of these are within a 15 to 20 minute drive, or can be done biking on beautiful, quiet country roads with gently rolling topography. Services: VCR, DVD, Movie and Book Library, Board Games, Bicycles, Wireless Internet Access Most Popular Rooms: The most popular room appears to be Renae's. The room features 1930-1940's furniture with a King sized bed. Newer bathroom has cedar and tile walls, with a full bathtub and shower. The spacious room offers a great atmosphere to relax. Laura's room furnished in antique satinwood furniture appears the lady's favorite. Decorated in white and blue, it is a great room to enjoy and relax. The high soft queen sized bed has definitely been our guests favorite in comfort. |
