This historic mill/bed and breakfast is located amid serene acres of old ponds, fully stocked with Brown Trout, waterfalls, and gardens. The Inn sits on Spring Creek, site of the first Historic Trout Fishing Hatchery in the United States and North America. You can walk along the banks and see waterfalls, woods, and gardens or fly-fish. Ten beautiful uniquely decorated, country-elegant guestrooms are filled with antiques and reproductions. They all have private baths, air conditioning, TV/VCR with remote, wireless Internet, and many special architectural features. The parlor, hand-stenciled with an old Victorian pattern, is perfect for relaxing or reading. Upon your arrival, afternoon tea, snacks, and home-baked cookies are served. A fireplace graces the breakfast area and sunroom overlooks Spring Creek. On the banks of the Spring Creek are decks, a gazebo, and a nature path along the water to the Oatka Creek. Your full country breakfast starts out with coffee, tea, or hot chocolate and juice with fresh fruit, homemade granola and home baked breads. Your breakfast will end with a hearty hot entrée made from award winning breakfast recipes. The famous Genesee Country Village and Museum and Nature Center is less than a mile away. Area Attractions and Activities: This historic, romantic Old Mill, located minutes from downtown Rochester, is just three hours from Toronto and 20 minutes from Letchworth State Park. Relax, flyfish, walk to the Genesee Country Museum and Nature Center (third largest in USA), or take day trips to Niagara Falls, Letchworth State Park, Historic Corning and the Glass Museum, Susan B. Anthony House, George Eastman House, Memorial Art Gallery, Strong Museum of Play, GEVA, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Seneca Falls Women's Museum, the Erie Canal, Canandaigua, wineries, theaters, or antique shops.
