The atmosphere is restful and richly understated. We strive to keep our guests feeling nurtured by the comfort, the decor, and the amenities we offer. Those who find us usually wish they could stay longer.

From 8am to 11am each day, we serve a deluxe continental breakfast, so you can come and go as you please and set your own morning pace. We use the freshest ingredients and serve organic food when possible.

Every room at the Adobe has a beautiful private bathroom. Every room is tastefully decorated with art and antiques, and features a CD and DVD player. We have a free DVD library and free Wifi for all guests. We offer Jacuzzi tubs and fireplaces in some rooms. Best of all every room features hand made natural latex beds for the best night's rest.

Off street parking and an off the street location makes your stay easy and very quiet. We specialize in casual comfort, privacy, and beautiful surroundings. The Adobe on Green Street is a cross between a charming country B&B and a sophisticated urban boutique hotel.

Special midweek and last-minute rates all year round and never a minimum stay.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Santa Cruz is one of the most lovely, tolerant, interesting, and entertaining places to visit. It's progressive and a haven for artists, musicians, entertainers, academia, and a multitude of local color.....which we love.

Pacific Avenue is three blocks from our doorstep, and is the heart of our vibrant downtown. The street life is always a show with musicians, performers, jugglers and poets. Surfing is a religion around here. If you don't surf, it's a great spectator sport.

Santa Cruz is home to the last seaside amusement park on the west coast of the US. Ride the historic wooden roller coaster.

Six miles from us is one of the best groves of old growth redwoods in the state.

We have excellent tide pools north and south of us where you can get close to starfish, hermit crabs and sea vegetation.

There are exquisite golf courses, hundreds of trails for biking or hiking, and galleries and museums as well. The shopping is legendary. It's hard to get bored.

Most Popular Rooms:

All of our rooms have a unique character. The "Lookout" is the most popular. It is also the most private room, since it is the only room on the second floor. It has views to downtown and overlooks our gardens.

The Retreat: Our second most popular room because it is large, has a whirlpool tub, a gas fireplace, and sleeps three comfortably. Again, not over decorated, but has a cozy richness and luxurious comfort.
