Located on a tree-lined street of stately historic homes, The Beechmont has welcomed business and leisure travelers since 1986 with exceptional hospitality and thoughtful extras designed to meet your needs. Guests are welcomed by the centerpiece of the gardens...a 150-year-old magnolia tree.

A well-stocked library and parlor offer a backdrop for relaxed conversation, while well-appointed rooms assure a comfortable stay. High speed wireless Internet access is available, or use the guest computer in the library.

Breakfast begins with the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting throughout the house, and continues with dishes prepared from the freshest ingredients possible, many from area farmers and markets.

Enjoy a sweet treat in the evening after a day of exploring the Gettysburg Battlefield, shopping for antiques, or visiting the wineries of south central Pennsylvania. Golfing, boating, and horseback riding are nearby, and there are back country roads to explore on a bicycle or in the car.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Hanover is a wonderful community rich in history and heritage. It's an easy stroll downtown to shops, including a Clark Shoes outlet, or a tour of historic markers for the Battle of Hanover. Wineries and antique malls are scattered throughout the area, as are fine restaurants and diners. Spend several days exploring Gettysburg and the Battlefield, which is 14 miles to the west. Amish quilts are a sight to behold in nearby Lancaster, and there's chocolate for all in Hershey.

Most Popular Rooms:

Magnolia is an expansive room on the first floor. A marble fireplace and four-poster bed are joined by comfortable wing-back chairs. Enjoy a custom-designed shower for two and cable television.

Birch is a sunny room on the second floor that overlooks the garden. Its recently remodeled bath has a jetted tub and custom shower with body jets. A queen size pencil post bed and comfortable chairs complete the setting.

Check In Instructions:

Guests who arrive after 8:00 pm will find an envelope with instructions on entering the inn and finding their room. Guests should call before 8:00 pm so that we may confirm the late arrival and confirm a time for breakfast.
