 The main house has a Country Kitchen and dining room where a breakfast buffet is served. Fruits, cereals, juice, muffins, fruit spreads and beverages are provided each morning. The main house features a variety of accommodations: King and Double beds. Four ample bedrooms are tastefully decorated with art objects. Bedrooms have shared bath or if you prefer at an additional cost a private bath. Our home makes a charming European Style B&B. We are located on a quiet residential street, which boarders Hillcrest Ave Park. You will stay in a century old traditional house with spacious areas for relaxation, reading, or game playing. There is adequate private off-street parking. Two living rooms, both with large fireplaces, await you for winter pleasure. During the summer, a bi-level deck provides quiet outdoor pleasure. Yes, travelers from all over the world appreciate the comfortable accommodations, the attractive decor - with hanging baskets in one room, Adirondack or wicker furnishings in another; the fireplaces in common rooms; Bernie's artwork on walls, on screens, and in frames; and those great decks with gas grills, lounge chairs, and umbrella tables. Still the hosts are the biggest hit. Bernie, a muralist who paints New York historic sites and events, and Joe, an accountant, know and love this area. When they moved from the New York City area in the 1970s, they restored both houses. In 1992 when their daughters moved to NM they began the B&B Area Attractions and Activities: White Face Mountain, skiing, shopping, fine dining, 1932 and 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympic Museum, Olympic Center Self Guided Tour, Santa's Workshop, Champlain Memorial Lighthouse, Whiteface Cloudsplitter Scenic Gondola Ride, golf, fishing, and so much more. Services: Two living rooms w/fireplaces, deck, gas grills, lounge chairs, off-street parking Most Popular Rooms: Southern Comfort Suite: A cozy two-room suite with sitting area and kitchenette. Suite is bathed in sunshine. Wicker furnishings and pastel colors give one the feel of year round springtime. A king-size bed adorns the bedroom. New England Suite: This suite is decorated with quilts and boats setting a country theme. The dual king bed and its deep rich colors set a gracious mood. Relax in the adjoining sitting room with kitchenette and private bath. |
