A young, highly professional and motivated team greets you at 1291 City Homes. We are located on 55th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues, right in the heart of Manhattan. Times Square and Central Park are within walking distance.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

We provide for all our guests:
Lounge with a big screen TV, relaxing backyard, kitchen facility equipped with refrigerator, microwave and utensils to cook. Guests may use our laundry facility (in the evening). Every room also gets a cellphone during their stay. With it, you can make nationwide calls and receive international calls for free. You receive the number two days before your arrival.

There is easy access to public transportation. The bus and subway station are just 5 minutes away. There are also many supermarkets, restaurants, and bars in this area as well as the famous Modern Art Museum (MOMA).

Our prices include all taxes and charges and bed linen and towels. There is a $20 key deposit for each key taken out and returned by check out. Payment can only be made either in cash or in traveler's checks, and there is a 5% surcharge for Credit Card payments.

We offer different types of rooms. Each Private Room is equipped with small fridge, sink and closet the hall bathroom is shared. Some have TV. The Studio/Suite/Duplex rooms are an alternative to a hotel room, equipped with a private bathroom and kitchen. They can accommodate anywhere from 4 to 8 people depending on the room. All including a king or a queen size bed and a pullout couch, some also include one or two bunk beds. All prices include bedsheets and towels. It's like living like a real New Yorker!

Most Popular Rooms:

Duplex apartment with a king size bed, a couch, a double size bed upstairs, fully equipped private kitchen, private bathroom with Jacuzzi bathtub, flat screen TV, radio and balcony, up to 4 guests;

Our Black & White Room: A nice room all in black and white. There is a double bed, a sink, a closet, a TV, stereo, and a little office table. The bathroom on this floor is shared with three other rooms.

Reservation Notes:

You can also send an e-mail or give us a call to check the availability. If you wish to cancel a reservation, please cancel AT LEAST 10 DAYS before the booking time. If you cancel your booking prior to your arrival, you lose your non-refundable downpayment. If you cancel remaining days during your stay, you will be liable for the equivalent of two night's rate as penalty.PLEASE NOTE - If you book with short notice with 1291 (less than 10 days before you plan to stay at 1291 and decide to cancel, you will be liable for the equivalent of your ENTIRE booking amount.
