Bed and Breakfast Description

Something more than the expected can be experienced during your stay at this 1886 Southern mansion, its two cottages, and the Inn's most recent addition... Retreat on Main. The Inn offers thirteen guestrooms including 3 suites. Spacious Love's Bouquet, The Manor, Camelot, and Serenity have whirlpools for two. Guestrooms promise to capture your attention and inspire your imagination.

Bedding is luxuriously comfortable. Much attention is paid to details, with guests in mind. Numerous amenities can be enjoyed.

Innkeepers have been collecting for many years. A vast collection of furnishings and various forms of artwork, along with family heirlooms are appreciated by guests.

The grounds are overseen by a Master Gardener (Bonnie), as well as a full-time gardener(David).
Framed with picket fencing and ornate iron gates, various garden areas include a vast variety of trees, shrubs and plantings.

A large in-ground pool, period koi pond, several fountains and statuary pieces add to the serene setting at the Inn. Unusual to most 19th century houses, the Main House has six outbuildings, original to the property.

Breakfast is elegant and delicious, with a different menu each day. Your morning meal is served in four Main House breakfast rooms, as well as on the veranda during pleasant weather.

Five welcoming porches offer rockers, swings, gliders, fans and potted plants. We invite you to come... experience a true Southern B & B stay.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The grounds are certified by The National Wildlife Federation as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat. Binoculars & field guide books are available.

Many guests choose to relax at the Inn.
Sun by or swim in the large in-ground pool.
Read or nap on the porches,hammocks, or on the swing under the old magnolia. Several resting benches are placed throughout the woodland garden... very peaceful & shady.

Bicycles are available for exploring the town's sidewalk & tree-lined streets. The walking trails of 600 Acre Lake Paul Wallace are 1 mile from the Inn. Beautiful & romantic at sunset!

Enjoy local & area golfing, tennis, historic touring, museums & performing arts. Visit the Bennettsville Visitor Center, located within a beautiful Queen Anne historic house. Local and nearby antiquing. In addition, a multitude of antique shops & antique malls can be plundered through within an hour of the Inn.Auctions are held nearby.The Inn is located within thirty minutes of Darlington & Rockingham Raceway.
