Great Oak Manor

Chestertown, Maryland.

Come for a romantic getaway to Great Oak Manor where the only honking comes from the geese, where the closest highway is the duck flyway, and where the only traffic you see from your room are the boaters sailing the water of the Chesapeake Bay Waterfront.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Chestertown, Maryland bed and breakfast: Great Oak Manor

Visiting Great Oak Manor Inn located directly on the Chesapeake Bay is like stepping back in time, to when the Eastern Shore was the home of the wealthy farmer and the well to do from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Wilmington.

There is more wildlife at the Manor than in most sanctuaries. Great Oak Manor, a Chesapeake Bay Inn, offers a private and secluded setting on the Chesapeake Bay for that "get-a-way from it all" feeling in a magnificent 1700's style country estate with 11 guest rooms.

Each guest room is unique - from the grand Marmaduke Chesapeake Bay waterside room at the top of the spiral staircase to quaint sloped ceiling rooms on the third floor. Each individually air-conditioned and each with its own story to tell.

The elegant dining room with views of the bay and a fireplace is where a full breakfast with Manor-baked muffins, hot entrees, cereals, yogurts, and fresh fruit are served each morning.

Great Oak Manor offers a private and secluded setting on the Chesapeake Bay with several comfortable common rooms. Our Library, where one can relax and enjoy a book from our extensive collection, music room, to play the piano, our Chesapeake room with guest bar and our large conservatory overlooking the magnificent sunsets on the bay.

Great Oak Manor is the ideal location for small to midsize Corporate Retreats. Our experienced and professional staff, along with a complete conference facility, caters to the corporate world.
