Visiting Great Oak Manor located directly on the Chesapeake Bay is like stepping back in time, to when the Eastern Shore was the home of the wealthy farmer and the well to do from Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Wilmington. There is more wildlife at the Manor than in most sanctuaries. Great Oak Manor, a Chesapeake Bay bed and breakfast, offers a private and secluded setting on the Chesapeake Bay for that "get-a-way from it all" feeling in a magnificent 1700's style country estate with 12 guest rooms.

Each guest room of our Chesapeake Bay Bed and Breakfast is unique - from the grand Marmaduke Chesapeake Bay waterside room at the top of the spiral staircase to quaint sloped ceiling rooms on the third floor. Each individually air-conditioned and each with its own story to tell. Sitting with views of the bay, the elegant fireplace dining room features a full breakfast with Manor-baked muffins, hot entree, cereals, yogurts, and fresh fruit. Great Oak Manor offers a private and secluded setting on the Chesapeake Bay with several comfortable common rooms. Our Library, where one can relax and enjoy a book from our extensive collection, music room, to play the piano, our Chesapeake room with guest bar and our large conservatory overlooking the magnificent sunsets on the bay.

Maramaduke:Original Master Suite! A deluxe waterside room that has views of the bay,a fireplace, comfortable reading chairs, king feather bed, walk-in closet and private bath. This is also known as our bridal suite complete w/a high hook for your dress!

The Caulk Room: Wonderfully decorated with its own sitting area, private deck. Water view, walk-in closet and private bath. The Roese Suite is a lovely two room suite, with fireplace, private bath, garden view.

Check In Instructions:

After 8:00 PM you must make arrangements with the innkeepers. A key to the front door will be left out for you with directions to your room.
