Bed and Breakfast Description

Guestrooms in the main house blend 19th Century elegance with modern convenience. Each room is individually decorated and has its own distinctive character.

Experience the privacy and spaciousness of the Carriage House luxury suites, most with whirlpool baths. All guestrooms in both the main building and the Carriage House have individual climate control and private baths; most beds are queen size.

Guests are encouraged to wander about the Mansion, exploring its nooks and crannies or to lounge in the parlor and library (well-stocked with books and games) or to lose themselves in the Mansion's gardens. All rooms are open for display until rented.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Explore the many diversions of Indiana's Dune Country: from shopping, museums and casinos to the spectacular Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and State Park, which together consist of over 20,000 acres of dunes, trails and beaches.

Just a short drive from the many restaurants, antique stores, beaches and other activities of Michigan's Harbor Country.

Most Popular Rooms:

Hansom Suite (in the Carriage House): Features a spoon carved bed in the bed chamber. There is a sitting room & a small garden room with tile floor & wicker furniture, plus a private terrace. Double whirlpool.

Wormley Room: The centerpiece of this welcoming room is a walnut Victorian Renaissance Revival bed with a seven foot high headboard. A beautiful stained glass window, one of the eleven outstanding panels in the mansion, tops the alcove's windows.
