Bed and Breakfast Description

Fox Pond is considered one of the North Shore's most romantic hideaways. The home features three large bedrooms with private marble baths, Eldred Wheeler queen beds, TV and a/c. The largest room is the Pond Room located on the first floor at the rear of the house and features a fireplace, a double Jacuzzi and 19' window wall over looking the gardens. The Coral and Cloud rooms are large sunny rooms on the second floor at the front of the house. Each room is furnished with period antiques and oriental rugs.

The designer kitchen has an eat-in area for guests adjacent to a window wall overlooking the patio and gardens. Large groups can sit in the formal dining room with a fireplace and surrounded by early American and English antiques. An oversized fireplace flanks the living room.

The yard is distinguished by rock ledge, stonewalls, large oak trees and a 50’ reflective pond. Specimen trees include a red bud, birches, Japanese red maples, hemlocks, junipers and dogwoods. Accent lighting provides a magical view during the night’s darkness.

All rooms include a continental breakfast consisting of an assortment of fresh muffins and fruits, cereals, yogurt, and fresh coffee, and juice. Breakfast is served between 8:30 & 9:30. Coffee is available earlier.

Policies: Full refund less $25 booking fee if cancellation is at least 2 weeks prior to arrival date. If less than 2 weeks, refund less $25 only if entire reserved period is resold.

Nestled amongst tall oaks on a quiet cul-de-sac and adjacent to 33 acres of conservation land, Fox Pond provides a welcome respite for the weary traveler or guests looking for a place to relax. The gardens are a sanctuary for birds and an occasional fox. Guests can listen to a quiet waterfall and watch koi swim through beds of water lilies and iris. There is a path from the property to the ocean, which meanders through conservation land and links with the town nature paths leading to ocean inlets and majestic views. The house is less than a 5-minute drive to Marblehead and its beaches, shopping and restaurants.

Fox Pond provides a boat charter service to it's guests. This unique service is as memorable as it is magical and is only available to guests of Fox Pond. Estimated cost to Manchester By The Sea is the greater of $100 or $30/person. For further information see Boat Charter below.

The Pond Room is possibly Marblehead's largest and most romantic room. Features include, 23' cathedral ceiling, fireplace, AC, TV, CD, oriental rugs, Eldred Wheeler furniture, French doors to private deck, view of the pond, and large corner Jacuzzi.

The Cloud and Coral Rooms: cozy, sunny rooms furnished with a TV,CD and AC. Both Rooms have Eldred Wheeler beds and are professionally decorated. Each room has a designer private bath with marble showers and custom vanities.
