 The Inn features magnificent ocean views, a private path to a cliff above the ocean, colorful country gardens, comfy pillow-top mattresses, private baths- most with antique clawfoot soaking tubs, a fireplace in every room, luxurious personalized amenities, warm fluffy robes, and a full delicious breakfast served daily in our ocean-view Sunroom or on our wrap-around porch. Perched on a hill overlooking Penobscot Bay and the islands for over 120 years, The Victorian by the Sea is the perfect spot to unwind. The Inn has a peaceful location on four private acres, and the only sounds you may hear are waves crashing on the shore, the call of a Loon or Gull, and soft music from our baby grand piano. Many of our charming guestrooms feature canopy beds, waterviews and fireplaces. A delicious breakfast is served daily in our oceanview Sunroom, and may include our signature Creme Brulee French Toast, Banana Walnut Waffles, or Peach Crepes with Raspberry Sauce. In-room amenities such as warm fluffy robes, Swiss chocolates, personalized soaps, lotion, and bubble bath help make your stay an even more memorable one. Area Attractions and Activities: The inn is just two miles north of Camden Hills State Park and one of the area's most breathtaking views. Hike or drive up to the top of Mt. Battie and take in the view of three harbors. The local shops and most of the restaurants are open year round. Camden and Lincolnville are home to many artists and fine craftsmen, and their shops and galleries are open to the public and a great way to spend an afternoon. The Sawyer Suite: Encompasses the entire third floor of the inn. A very private room with one of the best views from its balcony, the Sawyer Suite has a sitting room with gas fireplace, large bathroom with twin sinks and clawfoot tub. |
