Bed and Breakfast Description

Resting in the shadows of the Snowy Range Mountains in the Centennial Valley, the Vee Bar Guest Ranch is located 21 miles west of Laramie, Wyoming.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this 100 year-old landmark (built in the 1800's) has served as a cattle ranch, a stagecoach stop, a boy's school, and a buffalo ranch, as well as a year-round guest ranch. With careful restoration and creative decor, its western heritage has been preserved.

Never to be forgotten, the Vee Bar's menu of home-cooked food is part of a great stay at the ranch. Dining is buffet style in the informal western tradition. Guests enjoy a varied menu of meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, homemade breads, and desserts. The ranch chef will be happy to accommodate special diets with prior notice.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The Vee Bar offers many exciting family-oriented activities including horseback riding, hiking, excellent fly fishing, hayrides, trap shooting, camping, herding cattle, and river tubing.

Activities center around western horseback riding and the Vee Bar claims one of the best horseback riding programs to be found at any guest ranch. We offer a variety of rides from meadows to mountains to prairie!

Scenic hiking is just minutes away with several well marked trail systems in the nearby Snowy Range mountains.

Cattle work and sleeping out on the range will further your appreciation of the western lifestyle. Some of the best trout fishing around is right on the ranch, or you might like the beauty and solitude of fly fishing in the mountains.

Winter Activities include downhill skiing, snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, cultural events at the University of Wyoming.

Cabins: more secluded, the cabins are nestled among the trees farther away from the lodge. Two cabins have 2-3 sleeping areas & a bathroom with coffee maker, small refrigerator & hair dryer. 2 w/lofts; 1 built on single level. Each has a gas fireplace.

Riverside Suites: located near the lodge & hot tub include two private bedrooms, full bath, small refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer. All are within walking distance to the lodge & sit along the banks of the Little Laramie River.
