Next to Totara Park, the Lodge is set in a large garden with established trees, a duck pond and an antique windmill. Extensive views of native bush and farmland, out to the harbor beyond. Secluded, yet convenient to Auckland and the North Island motorway.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Totara Lodge offers peace and quiet in a secluded location, yet Manukau City and the main North Island motorway (Highway 1) are only a five minute drive away.

Totara Lodge is beautifully appointed with French and old English interior styles. Accommodations include: two queen-sized suites, two queen-sized bedrooms and a twin room, each with a private bathroom, hair dryers, toiletries, & heated towel rails.

Breakfast is included and served in the dining room, or al fresco on the deck looking out on to the pastoral scene beyond the ha-ha. Lunch and dinner with complimentary wine are also available, and there are often outdoor barbecues in the summer.

Comfortable surroundings and personal & flexible service for both business and leisure travellers are what may be found at the Totara Lodge.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Walk through Totara Park from the Lodge to the Auckland Botanical Gardens without crossing a public road! (Wear strong shoes, these are bush paths).

Manukau City, numerous restaurants to choose from and Rainbow's End (amusement park) are all within 5 minutes driving time.

Also within easy reach are shopping, vineyards, a swimming pool, tennis courts and there are 6 golf courses in the vicinity. Many private gardens to visit nearby, a native bush reserve, a race-horse training track, greyhound racing and of course the beaches of the North Island. All this, yet secluded and quiet!
