The only authentic plantation house on the island open as a B&B Sweetfield Manor has been painstakingly restored to surpass even it's original beauty! Decorated with both classic mahogany furnishings and a touch of tropical flair it offers guest a truly original island experience. The main rooms of the Manor and there are many - Living Room, Gallery, Dining Room, Outdoor Living Room, decks and gardens as well as the pool are open for guests to enjoy at anytime.

Each room has it's own charm. The Island Room is draped in whites and offers a Tommy Bahama sleigh bed. The Mignonette Room is full of classic Barbadian antiques. A favorite among guests is the Bananaquit Corner guest room in the separate 'servants quarters' cottage; featuring a private bath and large rear deck overlooking the wonderful pool...a perfect perch for a midnight swim.

No matter what room you choose the charm of Sweetfield is in the special moments you will find there. Sip a coffee while you watch the island's Green Monkeys play in the distance from the 'monkey observation deck' or simply lounge the day away poolside. Full breakfast is only the beginning - on wandering into the kitchen you will most likely find a fresh baked treat made with the plantation banana's or coconuts something yummy you won't find anywhere else!

The eastern-most island of the Caribbean Barbados is only 34 km (22miles) long and 22km (14 miles) wide. Barbados has a diverse landscape - magnificent cliffs rise above the Atlantic waves on the eastern side to the calm Caribbean Sea lapping crystal waters against miles and miles of white powdery beaches. The beach is less than a mile away.

English is the language of Barbados with a Bajan dialect. The average temperature is 27*C (87*F) and it is sunny all year round with tropical breezes by a steady Northeast Trade wind.

A SF Manor favorite is the Bananaquit Corner Room in the former servants cottage with a Queen bed, private bath and a oversized deck overlooking the lagoon pool. A perfect setting for lazy days or a swim whether in the afternoon or under the stars.

The Island Room is draped in shades of white with a Tommy Bahama sleigh bed and a spacious 25ft x 25ft room. The perfect spot for anyone looking to not cramp their style!
