We are blessed with magnificent 180° views over Lake Wakatipu to the "Remarkables". All rooms have their own access balcony to enjoy the views. This is what you will experience, along with some of the world's finest hospitality and gourmet breakfasts.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodations

Lake Vista B & B is very conveniently situated on Queenstown Hill, walking distance from town and 5 minutes from the Airport. We overlook the Frankton arm of Lake Wakatipu across to Deer Park (where much filming for The Lord of the Rings took place) to the Remarkables ranges. Courtesy transport to/from Airport or Bus Terminal is available.

Guests gasp when they first look out at our all encompassing views over the lake to the "Remarkables" mountain range. "Hospitality to live for & views to die for" is what one guest wrote in our guest book.

Accommodation in New Zealand comes in many forms, but Bed and Breakfast is becoming much more popular these days with travellers while on vacation due to the more personal in-home interaction with New Zealander's. In fact we have many couples on their honeymoon stay with us.

We are also accredited tour and activity booking agents. We are able to advise on most aspects of all tours. All charges are charged back to us and can be settled up on your bill on departure. This is a complimentary service to all guests.

Area Attractions and Activities:

On New Zealand vacation, at some stage, most people come to this magnificent area. Lake Wakatipu & Queenstown, New Zealand is the Southern Hemisphere's finest four season alpine and lake resort. Often referred to as the "Activity Capital of the World". Established and sophisticated, the range of outdoor activities and adventures here are unsurpassed all year round.

Skiing is one of the main Winter activities, however the Summer season offers even more. Milford & Doubtful Sounds, Jet-Boating, Scenic flights - Helicopter and fixed wing, Horse Trekking, Paragliding, Lake sailing to name a few. There isn't enough room here to list all, however we do have an activity page on our website.

With so many activities to keep everybody occupied. Even if you stayed for a month, you would not be able to cover everything. However, the biggest mistake one can make is not leaving enough time to at least cover some of what this unique area has to offer. Many people return here time & time again.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Remarkables Room at Lake Vista B & B and homestay is fully carpeted & has Under-floor Heating, Refrigerator, Colour TV, Hair Dryer, Heated towel rail, Tea & Coffee making facilities and Personal Safety Deposit Box. Also has own en-suite facilities.

The Kingston & Wakatipu Rooms at Lake Vista B & B both feature the same in-room facilities as the Remarkables Room. However, both these rooms share a brand new large bathroom facility situated right opposite both rooms. (View the shower image in gallery)

Reservation Notes:

Booking Policy: 30% deposit with Credit Card details are required to confirm a reservation. One night surcharge of NZ$20 applies during higher seasons. Reservations are accepted in good faith. Cancellations affect us significantly. In the event of cancellation, the following policy applies: Reservation cancelled after deposit paid incurs a small booking fee. Reservation cancelled within 30 days of arrival - 30% charge. Reservation cancelled within 7 days of arrival - 100% charge. However, in each case, if room can be resold then full refund (less booking fee) would be forthcoming. Travel insurance is highly recommended to cover any unforeseen circumstance.
