The fabulous Casa Cuitlateca sits high above Zihuatanejo Bay in a secluded area providing the ultimate in solitude, privacy and serenity. A romantic getaway for couples seeking privacy, also ideal for groups looking for a luxury private resort.
Bed and Breakfast Description

From the moment that you enter our gates, you realize that you have entered a paradise. This is pure luxury.
Designed by well-known Mexican architect Carlos Desormaux, and taking its name from the pre-Hispanic inhabitants of the region, the Casa Cuitlateca offers an unforgettable ambiance.
The decor of each of the five rooms has been specially selected from various parts of Mexico to reflect the artisanship of the Mexican and Indian people.
Our beautiful tropical grounds, impeccable furnishings and artwork compliment the natural beauty that surrounds.
Our elite, private accommodations at Casa Cuitlateca include only five rooms. The decor of each of the five rooms has been specially selected from various parts of Mexico to reflect the artisanship of the native Mexican and Indians.
One suite features a separate bedroom, living room (which can be converted into a second bedroom if desired), and a beautiful private garden. We have one magnificent room with a large private deck offering a spectacular view of Zihuatanejo Bay. Two of the rooms are executive rooms, each with a private deck overlooking our beautiful grounds and Zihuatanejo Bay. We have one smaller bedroom with a view to the Bay.
Additionally, the upper level of the original casa includes a beautiful open-air great room. This is a perfect spot for private dining, reading, or an afternoon siesta.
High above it all, the tower penthouse offers outstanding views of the bay and the village.

Area Attractions and Activities:
This tranquil little bay, known to the native Aztecs as Zihuatlan or "place of women" was discovered by Spanish travelers in 1522. In spite of some modest tourist development in the 1970's, Zihuatanejo retains the serenity and charm of that same sleepy little fishing village. Experience intriguing native markets, informal dining, and a low-key, casual atmosphere.
Forty years ago, Ixtapa was uninhabited rocky cliffs, mangrove swamps, and coconut plantations. Today, Ixtapa lays claim to being the premier resort location on Mexico's west coast. World-class golf, a 450-acre marina complex, boutiques, all-night discos, and restaurants are elegantly blended with the unspoiled ecological nature reserve that surrounds it.
The area has a wealth of activities to keep you entertained during your visit. Enjoy an endless variety of water and beach sports, including world-class deep-sea fishing. Ixtapa also has two excellent championship golf courses.
