Bed and Breakfast Description

A warm welcome is extended to all travelers. Riversong has unsurpassed river, mountain and garden views from all guest rooms. Albert Town (5 km from Wanaka) is where the first punt across the Clutha operated from 1863, and near where gold was discovered in 1862. Mt. Maude dominates the skyline, fringed with colorful hills and a landscape that continuously changes with the light.

Riversong has 2 bedrooms upstairs, 1 king/double and 1 single room. One shared bath, a small fridge and microwave with a separate tea & coffee facility. Only single party bookings are available for this floor of the house. Downstairs there is a double room with an en-suite bath. The two double rooms have their own balconies, tea & coffee facilities and TV's. There is Internet access for visitors with wireless laptops. Guest privacy is assured. Breakfast in the morning is continental or full, at whatever time you decide.

Hosts, Ann and Ian Horrax, will share their love and extensive knowledge of the region, fishing expertise, and the delights of modern accommodation. Riversong features full private facilities, and a sincerity that will set this visit apart from any other destination.

Riversong is just off State Highway 6 at Albert Town. Situated on the banks of the Clutha River, adjacent to the world famous ‘Deans Bank’ fly-fishing Mecca. Enjoy the tranquility of the countryside while being within just 5km of Wanaka township and lake. Break your journey and rest a while on your travels north or south.

Most Popular Rooms:

Top floor: Spacious king/twin room with double doors opening onto a balcony an uninterrupted river and mountain views. Exclusive use of upstairs (including bathroom, SKY TV, tea/coffee facilities). Additional single room available room upon request.

Downstairs Queen: This room has a veranda, SKY TV, tea/coffee facilities. It also boasts uninterrupted river and mountain views with immediate access to the river.

Cancellation within 24 hours of booked date may invoke a 100% penalty. Imposition of such penalty to be at the sole discretion of the owner.
