El Mirador Lodge has one of the most spectacular views in Drake's Bay. The lodge, is located on the hill just 200 meters from the ocean. Fall asleep to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the shore and awaken to a cool morning breeze.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Our cabins are wooden made with huge windows covered by mosquito nets and curtains for privacy.

Four cabins share one wall while possessing a breathtaking view to the bay. Other cabins are really independent cabins that have no view because they are immersed in the jungle and instead have electricity with a fan or hot water.

All have private bathroom and current water with a sink, toilette and shower. In the dining room or common area you can meet new people from other countries, play games, and enjoy a sunset or the exotic birds that surround the Mirador Lodge.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Drake's Bay is on the border of Corcovado National Park and only 12 miles west of the Isla del Caņo, one of the best spots for diving and snorkeling in the region. Drake's Bay was named after the legendary Sir Francis Drake, and history tells us that Drake spent time in the bay and possibly even buried treasure here.

Hike to a nearby waterfall or go to a swimming hole of crystal clear mountain water. We will take good care of you and give you all the information you need to find the hidden ecological treasures of Drake's Bay. Drake's Bay is much more relaxing than many of the crowded beaches of Costa Rica. Stretch out in a hammock and read a book or take a leisurely stroll on the shore. We expect that when your time is up, you won't want to leave.

A variety of tours and activities such as horseback riding, trips to Isla del Caņo and Corcovado National Park, snorkeling and diving expeditions are offered. Please consult about the prices of these and a number of other activities.
