Our Dream B&B welcomed its first happy guests on the 8th of August, 1999. An expression of ourselves, this is a very friendly and colorful Guest House indeed.

Our house was built in the year 1777 on the former coastline of Amsterdam. It still has its original facade showing an authentic Gable Stone of a Tropical Island with 3 Palm Trees.

One street behind is the best shopping street of the Netherlands but our street, Droogbak, is quiet. All tourist attractions are literally just around the corner, a leisurely walk for our guests to visit.

The rooms are decorated in a unique style with tropical accents. Each room has cable TV (dvd on request), refrigerator, radio alarm clock and coffee / tea making facilities. Private facilities for the patio rooms and shared luxe facilities for the upper rooms but all with comfy beds.

There are FAST & FREE WIFI connections in the whole property and also a public computer for our guests to use !

BARANGAY is a Filipino word meaning a small-village or community. Ask any Filipino for more info. We give each guest a warm welcome ( drink ), a uniquely decorated room and of course our world famous breakfasts to those staying in the patio rooms!

Area Attractions and Activities:

Barangay is next to the famous Jordaan Area where you can also find Anne Frank's house. Bike rental, specialty shops, restaurants, coffee shops (the ones where you do not drink coffee), cafés, cinemas, you will find all these just around the corner.

The Area is called 'the Golden Real' in the old center 200 meters southwest from the Central Station. Parallel with 'Droogbak' (our street) are the Haarlemmerstraat' and the 'Brouwersgracht' (brewery canal). The Haarlemmerstraat is a former sea dike, now a very nice street with restaurants, cafes, shops, barbers, laundry, and an art-deco cinema etc.

The Brouwersgracht is one of the most beautiful canals connecting the 4 main canals. Our B&B is next to the famous Jordaan quarter where you can find markets on Saturday and Mondays.

Most Popular Rooms:

Our PATIO ROOMS with private(external)bathroom are the most popular rooms. There is access to a little patio/garden which is shared with the other Patio Room. ( Smoking is only allowed in the patio) We serve our world famous breakfast in the room.

The UPPER ROOMS are very light and bright! Exposed old & big wooden beams add a unique feel to the rooms. The rooms share a big luxe bathroom plus a modern smaller one for your comfort. Unlimited breakfasts in the self-service cozy breakfast kitchen.
