La Frateria Di Padre Eligio
Cetona, Italy.
Padre Eligio’s “La Frateria” has been created in one of the most beautiful monuments made by man, the convent of Saint Francis, founded by the Saint in 1212, an example of late middle ages convent life, still intact.
Bed and Breakfast Description

La Frateria located in Cetona, among the many wonders of Italy, is a miracle created by Mondo X, within the walls of the first Convent founded by S. Francesco d'Assici in 1212.
From the ancient friary cells we created a comfortable "Foresteria" with rooms full of fragrance, love and wonders.
Padre Eligio and the young people of the community have created a pleasant cenacle and guest quarters for those in search of peace and tranquility, far from the clamor of the world, in the miracle of creation.
At the restaurant we serve all the products made by all the Mondo X communities.
At La Frateria, if only for one night, it might be possible for you to feel again the joy of being a Man.

Area Attractions and Activities:
Cetona, a delightful little village in the province of Siena, found at the foot of a mountain's namesake, dominating it from the west.
Viewed from a distance, from any angle, the town looks like a cone with houses stacked together around it with a crest of cypress and pine trees, crowning the once forbidding 12th century fortress, now a silent and majestic witness to the innumerable events the people of Cetona were primary protagonists.
Around the fortress, the attentive visitor will be able to discern traces of the two highest town walls, and just below, the Collegiate Church, a prestigious 13th century building containing noteworthy paintings including one attributed to Pinturicchio, 1454-1513.
Thanks to its geographical location halfway between Florence and Rome on the Autostrada del Sole highway, its fascinating structure and typically medieval design, the beauty of the surrounding countryside, resembling a Renaissance landscape oil painting, Cetona is a sought after home.
Most Popular Rooms:
The superior room called "Solare"(which means sunny) has two beautiful views on the garden and the valley. It's furnished by antique furniture, beautiful design and king size bed. Large bathroom with view on the valley from the large bath tub.
