La Torricella, set in a rural Renaissance dwelling nestled in the hills surrounding the city of Florence, a few minutes away from the Historic Center, is the ideal place for anyone who wishes to enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Tuscan countryside.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Each room has a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside whilst the architecture and furnishing reflect the history of the building, with terracotta floors and beamed ceilings.

La Torricella is born from restoration of part of a private villa, from an existing 1400's Guard Tower.

The warming atmosphere and the comfort are that of a private house, where the landlady herself attends to her guests, with a plentiful breakfast buffet, comprised of home made cakes and local products. She also offers Tuscan recipe cooking lessons and later shares what was prepared during the lessons.

La Torricella is located in a panoramic site, is located on a small hill that overlooks the valley of river Ema offering a dominating view of the surrounding country-side, that support the characteristics that make La Torricella a romantic and peaceful place suitable also for newly married couple for spending their honey moon.

Lisa, the owner, offers cooking classes, teaching secrets of genuine Tuscan recipes included the dinner with the food cooked together, served on the terrace surrounded with terra-cotta vases of flowers and intoxicating wisteria vines. It is agreeable to go for a relaxed walk along the torrent Ema as far as the little village "Galluzzo" where in the morning there is a little market where you can buy fresh vegetables and typical products.
