We provide a relaxing holiday within the walls of Lucca, in harmony with the medieval spirit of the town. "Da Elisa" offers fine art-deco styled accommodations with a lovely guest kitchen.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Situated in a large nineteenth century building, full of sun-light, the charm of Da Elisa is immediately apparent on entering the reception hall and is reflected throughout the rooms.

The furniture is in Liberty and Art-Deco style. Chandeliers hang in most of the rooms and ceilings and cornices are delicately decorated. The floors are made with wonderfully colored and ornately patterned tiles.

Holiday accommodations are offered in single, double, triple and Family rooms and guests may stay on a self-catering or bed and breakfast basis. Breakfast (optional) is served in the room.
The main property is composed of rooms all with shared bathrooms (there are 3 bathrooms, all with shower, for 6 rooms). Rooms with private bathroom are also available at an annexe nearby, still in the town centre. Guests also have access to a lovely shared kitchen during their vacation. Rooms are equipped with Free Wireless Connection.

There is public parking downstairs, with free parking outside the city walls just 100 meters away.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Lucca is the most wonderful small town; its famous walls enclose a place that can be wandered or pedaled with ease yet remains full of secrets. One of Tuscany's finest medieval treasures, the center is relatively unspoiled and is sprinkled with palazzi, towers and almost countless splendid churches.

The surrounding hills produce some excellent wines and arguably the finest olive oil in Tuscany, whilst the beaches and nightlife are but a small hop away.

The main attractions to see in the old town are: The Duomo of San Martino, Piazza San Michele and San Frediano, the Anfiteatro, Torre Guinigi, Puccini's House, Villa Bottini, Botanical Garden, Palazzo Pfanner, the walls.

On the third weekend of each month there is a large antiques market; on the last weekend of the month there is an arts and crafts market. Other antique markets take place in the nearby area almost each weekend.

Be sure to visit Piazza San Micheletto, where many artistic and musical performances are staged.
