Bed and Breakfast Description

All rooms are between 30m² and 40m², and feature a balcony and a conservatory with a splendid view of the mountains. Part of the Inn's larch floors, panels, and doors, are made of solid pine wood, and decorated with antique furniture, linen curtains, bed heads with rural drawings, hand-painted lamp shades, relaxing sofas and laden with daylight.

The suites are between 60m² and 70m² with bedroom, living room, and balcony with a view of the entire valley, and features the same decor as the rooms.

Tower Suites are slightly larger than the Suites, feature the same decor, except, the Tower Suites feature spruce-beamed ceilings.

The Tower is as such, a styled Suite, situated directly in the tower of the Castel Fragsburg, featuring exquisite decor and incredible views of the valley and mountains.

Lay back at the heated outdoor swimming pool in the middle of a 10.000 m² private park.

Even good things can be improved on, the former 9-hole golf course has been converted into a spacious 18-hole golf course. You will not only be impressed by the demanding course, but also by the varied competitions and course and training program of the very own golf school. Hotel Castel Fragsburg is a founding member of the Passiria Golf Club. Our guests receive a special reduction.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Historic relics from ancient times can be found everywhere in Merano. The well preserved historic town center, the remains of the old town wall with three town gates (Bolzano Gate, Passiria Gate and Venosta Gate), or the old arbours, which connect the Duomo Square with the Grano Square, former market square of Merano.

Merano is also interesting from an artistic point of view. From Merano Art, a gallery and forum for meeting and discussing modern art, to the Museion - a museum of modern art in Bolzano, to the European art biennal "Manifesta 7", or the Archeological Museum featuring the Ice Man.

Aperitifs & Shopping would include visits to the old towns of Merano and Bolzano, where you can shop and stroll. Before dinner, in the evening you can enjoy a nice aperitif at the Walter Square in Bolzano or at the Merano Promenade.

Maybe visit the Botanical gardens Trauttmansdorff with the Touriseum, and the possibilities for trekking, hiking, and mountain biking are endless.

Most Popular Rooms:

Our Suite De Luxe are made of two rooms, large and luxurious, furnished with South Tyrolean antiques and Pinus Swiss boardig. The rooms offer a spectacular view from the balcony. All rooms have TV, telephone, minibar, safe, hairdryer, bathrobe and slipper

The suite "The Tower" is a room on three floors, completely furnished in wood, newly built in 2007. The big terrace offers a breathtaking view over Merano.
