On a cobblestone street in the historic center of San Miguel De Allende, Susurro welcomes you. The English translation for our lovely Spanish name is 'whisper' and also means sounds of murmuring water and rustling of wind in the trees.

We are located 3 blocks from the main square. Behind our walls you will find a beautifully restored 18th century home with lush gardens, fountains, pool and patios, all of which contribute to your experiencing Colonial Mexico, resplendent in elegance and tradition.

Designed by owner/manager Robert Waters, Susurro's 4 rooms feature private terraces/patios, a sitting area, cable TV, fireplaces, tub/shower, and bath amenities.

A sumptuous, gourmet, Mexican breakfast is included with each night's stay. You can enjoy a social breakfast in the dining room, courtyard garden or if you prefer. breakfast in your bedroom or on your private terrace, it will be our pleasure to accommodate you.

Our very talented chef, Lola Teniente, offers various Mexican selection from 9 AM on. She will also be happy to prepare breakfast to order.

In addition to what Susurro offers, in and around San Miguel you have a wealth of activities to choose from. The Instituto Allende and other schools give classes in Spanish, Fine Art and Crafts. Bellas Artes offers classes in the fine arts. Both have short-term courses.

There is wonderful dining, hot air ballooning, hiking, botanical gardens, golf, tennis, hot springs, cooking classes, horseback riding, archeological ruins, shopping, concerts, classic films, yoga, gyms, the meditation center and of course, if you are not exhausted yet, your typical, Mexican, swinging door cantinas.
