Edinburgh, bed and breakfast: Southside Guest House
Southside is a stylish and welcoming Guest House in the heart of Edinburgh close to the Historical Old Town. It provides very comfortable accommodation in a contemporary, smart decor in a Victorian setting.

The House was built in the 1860s and is part of a Victorian Terrace which includes at No 10 next door, West Newington House (1805). In 2000 Southside was lovingly restored bringing back many of its original features.

Our rooms have been carefully created for your comfort and relaxation; each one contemporary, colorful, well equipped, all with en suites. Bedrooms are complimented with many pampering items, including great firm mattresses and crisp linen for a fine night’s sleep!

Breakfast at Southside is an important occasion! We try to cater for most tastes and feature the famous Southside Grill or the vegetarian alternative. Each day we also present a special dish or ingredient, such as smoked salmon, mini-haggis and wild venison sausages. Cheeses, oatcakes, bakery and fresh fruit salad, compliment the hot selection and we offer an excellent selection of teas and coffees including espresso drinks.

NEW! The Holyrood Park Apartment. Now Southside has complimented the facilities and hospitality of the House with a self-contained quality Apartment available for short rental to guests seeking a more private, larger base for their stay in the City of Edinburgh.
