Nassau's only hotel designed by divers for divers. For those of you who take two vacations - one to dive and the other for activities with the rest of the family - Land Shark combines it all.

Bed and Breakfast Description

For the majority of the year we are a family oriented operation. During special periods we cater to singles and couples. There are also special "college break" periods with themes for college students and sorority/fraternity groups. Whether it be a family period or a special week, we offer a full program of activities for non-divers.

We saw the need for a true diver's hotel in Nassau. We have incorporated the best ideas that we could into this facility to make it as "Diver Friendly" as possible.

We have outside rinse facilities and drying areas as well as storage lockers (bring your own lock) in front of each unit.

We are the only hotel on the island that has a dive facility on premises with tanks for unlimited shore diving.

Our swimming pool is less than 6 feet from our tank room. You are welcome to use the pool to fine-tune skills, check your weighting, or set up your camera.

Our Marine Education program for children is designed to teach them about your special world while you are away diving or shopping. The program includes snorkel and SASY classroom and pool, fish ID, reef ecology, marine crafts, and more!

We offer afternoon Scuba, family snorkeling, SASY, and Ocean Kayak trips.

Boat dives can be with Stewart Cove.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Just one mile east of Land Shark on our street, West Bay Street, is the Crystal Palace Casino with all of its glitter, slot machines, blackjack tables, and floor shows. The walk is along tree lined beautiful West Bay Street passing the Prime Minister’s home.

Just across the street from the Crystal Palace is a small and very reasonable Bahamian straw market where vendors have jewelry, island crafts, and clothing.

Public beach is a short 10 minute walk from Land Shark Divers Hotel. It's on the way to cable beach. Jet Ski's can be rented from local vendors.

Downtown Nassau is just a 5-mile ride on the #10 bus. The buses are nice and safe and a bargain at $1 each way! Nassau is alive during the day with duty free shopping and crafts in a large straw market. Remember to catch the #10 bus to come back to Land Shark.

Visit the Bacardi Plant for a fantastic tour. Then head to the bar to sample their various Rums. The Gift shop has some of the best prices on the island.

Nine of our rooms have rinse facilities and setup counters w/storage space for U/W photographers. Ten of our rooms can be occupied as singles - single occupancy $30 additional per night. All rooms have areas for setting up/recharging lights and strobes.
