Dakini's B&B is located 7 min from Zurich Main Station in a young, green and trendy neighborhood with lovely old houses. The inner city and the lake are within walking distance.

Bed and Breakfast Description

Recently remodeled, the Victorian house of Dakini's B&B was built in 1874. It comprises four stories with guest rooms on all four floors. Bus and tramway are around the corner, making it easy to move around Zurich. You can also walk downtown and to the Lake.

There is no elevator but our 4 apartments are clean and spacious. We offer 4 single and 4 double rooms, 4 bathrooms and 3 fully furnished kitchens for communal use.

All rooms have wooden or laminate floors, the beds are equipped with good mattresses and eiderdown blankets, as well as quality linen and towels. There are works of art in every room. Guests are provided with a clean & comfortable space, plenty to eat as well as personal service, treating them like friends.

Smoking is not allowed in the rooms but you are free to smoke in the kitchen and on the balcony. Everyone is welcome regardless of their age, creed or color. However, physically challenged people may find it hard to climb the stairs.

The rooms may also be rented by the week and there are three communal kitchens.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Zurich is set on the northern shore of Lake Zurich and crossed by the Limmat River. The Lake attracts many sailing enthusiasts as well as swimmers who may also enjoy the Limmat.

The Old Town boasts a great number of attractions. Zurich is a green city with an outstanding botanical garden, as well as many museums, galleries and other attractions.

It is the perfect starting point for tours of of the region and the country, including our lovely Uetliberg, a premier picnic area on our "house mountain" (809 m altitude).

There are plenty of bars, restaurants, take-aways, clubs etc in the neighborhood worth visiting. The town offers free bicycle loans, and knows many - summer - festivals.

Most Popular Rooms:

All rooms are equipped with good beds and mattresses, plenty of lamps and chairs as well as two sets of curtains and original art are also part of the furniture. There's a tv set in every room, and we have wireless lan Internet access.

My best rooms have balconies with plenty of flowers. The neighborhood is quite lively during the summer months so that people watching is a good option.
