 Hotel Marionetas, once a popular puppet theater, is now a small luxury B&B Hotel in downtown Merida. After years of traveling and working in Europe and South America, the owners have settled in an historic Merida neighborhood, and renovated this 100 year colonial building. Open the imposing original wooden front doors and step inside the Hotel Marionetas cafe and internet bar. Relax with a cappuccino made from Chiapas coffee beans, check email, listen to music or chat with a neighbor, all in air conditioned elegance under a 20 ft high beamed ceiling. Continue through glass doors to the privacy of the bed and breakfast beyond. Here you will find a peaceful green garden and courtyard, surrounding a pool. The rooms surround the garden and are tucked away for maximum quiet and security. The tejeban made with local terra cotta tiles, with wrought iron tables and chairs are perfect for breakfast. Our delicious gourmet breakfasts are served to guests on the patio overlooking the garden every morning which include platters of fresh vibrant fruit and much more.
