Casa Laurin is perfect for the weary traveler who wishes to rest for a day, or possibly a week, in beautiful Escazú, a quiet,upscale suburb of San José, Costa Rica. Spacious and comfortable rooms with private bath, Cable TV, A/C or fan, safety box, hair dryer and bathrobe. Casa Laurin has natural ventilation so it is fresh and comfortable even on very hot days. The main living area is a large and open room and there are a few reading rooms spread out in the house where guests can relax and have their own space. Two fireplaces create a comfy atmosphere - one in the main living room and one in the dining area. Outside there are two terraces for basking in the sun or cooling down in the shade.

In the dining room, a delicious and healthy breakfast is served every morning with a smile. For lunch or dinner, guests have use of the kitchen to cook meals or there are a variety of menus to choose from to order in. There are many restaurants offering most specialties close by.

The tropical foliage of the gardens have almost 100 species of plants and fruit trees. Tropical birdsong and colorful butterflies create a peaceful haven. Casa Laurin is a health resort for the soul and a retreat for nature lovers.

At Casa Laurin service starts even before you get here - Free assistance to plan your itinerary, organize transportation, sightseeing, birdwatching, art and real estate tours, dental work and cosmetic surgery, etc. Conveniently located between the International Airports and downtown San José, Casa Laurin is an ideal ‘base camp’ to explore the Central Valley. Most tours will pick you up and drop you off right here. You can see a short list of tours on the Activites tab of our website and we can provide many other suggestions if you wish to take the local buses and explore on your own. Local activities include the Escazu or Santa Ana Farmers Markets, Biesanz Woodworks, a cigar factory, ceramic artists, restaurants with folklore dancing, visit of Barrio Lujan, one of the oldest districts of downtown San José and a walking tour of San José. All conveniences are in close proximity, including international restaurants, the largest shopping mall in Costa Rica and championship golfing.
