Bed and Breakfast Description

Since 1994, Posada Mimosa has welcomed thousands of guests from all over the world. Many are repeat visitors, others come by "word of mouth"; most come from the Internet. Most of the time we are the first stop for many guests and we have been happy to help them find their way on a Costa Rican adventure.

Posada Mimosa offers a variety of accommodations for small groups and individuals. The Guest House is divided into two fully furnished and equipped suites and accommodates four per suite. Each suite consists of one bedroom with twin beds, one bedroom with a double bed, two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Suitable for longer stays.

The Family Cabin has three bedrooms, two with two single beds and one with a double bed, full kitchen, two bathrooms, washing machine, large porch. Available for daily and weekly stays. Cable and satellite TV.

The Small Cabin has one studio room, kitchen facilities, full bath, private deck. Suitable for one or two people for daily or weekly stays.

The B&B has four rooms in a separate wing of the main house - one quadruple, two doubles and one twin. Each room has a private bathroom. Suitable for one or two nights stays, no kitchen facilities.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Posada Mimosa is 750 meters above sea level. The climate is ideal. The nights are cool enough to need a blanket. We do Not need air conditioning or heating year round.

Many of our guests have suggested that our location is ideal for three or six days' relaxation or day trips before embarking on more strenuous pursuits. Our clientele is mostly adults with a genuine interest in and respect for Costa Rica's natural diversity. Families are welcome.

We are only 15 minutes to Grecia, 20 minutes west of the International Airport, 40 minutes west of San Jose and 90 minutes from the closest Pacific beaches. Sarchi, Zarcero, Irazu, and Poas Volcanoes, all national parks - within easy driving distance.

We also have a convenient take out restaurant nearby offering a selection of pizzas and Costa Rican dishes. You can buy groceries and drinks at a local store just five minutes away in our village of Rincon de Salas. Restaurants are within 15 minutes driving distance in any direction.
