Casa Sagrada
Oaxaca, Mexico.
With only twelve guest rooms and a home-style atmosphere, Casa Sagrada is the perfect place to retreat from your busy life. Immerse yourself in a traditional Zapotec village surrounded by ancient culture and stunning panoramic views.
Bed and Breakfast Description

Casa Sagrada is located in the valley of Oaxaca above the native Zapotec village of Teotitlan del Valle, a community of weavers famous for their rich traditions, lively fiestas and delicious cuisine.
Casa Sagrada, designed by Teotitlan artist Arnulfo Mendoza, is rich in unique details - from shady corridors lined with blonde bamboo to its walls hung with original Oaxacan art - including many of Mendoza’s finest paintings and weavings.
Mary Jane Gagnier, Canadian author and Oaxaca resident for over twenty years, actively manages Casa Sagrada, and everything from the dishes served up to the trails trotted down reflects her passion for all things rural Oaxaca has to offer.
Whether you are visiting us for the day, planning a family vacation or joining one of our many residential programs, Casa Sagrada's location provides the perfect setting for a truly memorable vacation.
Let our staff of bilingual guides & regional experts take you on an authentic cultural adventure.
The state of Oaxaca is located in the south of Mexico and straddles the Sierra Madre mountain ranges. Deep valleys and majestic peaks characterize this geographically challenging state. Ranging from tropical beaches to alpine mountains, Oaxaca's microclimates are unique among the world's ecosystems.
Oaxaca is culturally fascinating with many diverse native ethnic groups and rich craft traditions. The city of Oaxaca has been declared a Cultural Patrimony of the World by UNESCO.
