The Boathouse, on the Kapiti Coast offers a unique nautical theme with landscaped gardens on an elevated site with views. A self-contained retreat, berthed within harpooning distance of the sea, Raumati Beach & local shops & cafes.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The Boathouse is entirely made of recycled native and exotic timber. The Boathouse was steered into existence by developer Grant Kiely who "wanted it to look like a real ship".

The construction of The Boathouse took three years and a lot of love, sweat, and enthusiasm on the part of Grant and others to complete. It provides a unique atmosphere that you won't find in any normal house of Bach.

The whale chaser boat is moored alongside the house and was once known as the Avanti that use to be in service out in the Cook Strait.

The master cabin has French doors opening out onto the deck. The mezzanine floor has two single berths, the restored 28-foot Whale Chaser boat has two single squabs.

Large open spaces for dining and entertaining, big double doors flow out onto a sunny deck complete with gas BBQ. Full kitchen and laundry facilities as well as all linens provided. Refreshments and breakfast provisions are pre-stocked.

There is one Master Cabin with a Queen bed. The mezzanine floor has 2 single beds. The shower is separate from the WC. An outdoor bath
