Coningsby Inn is near the end of Regent Street in a quiet setting just 1/2 block from the sea and close to downtown. The Inn is an ideal spot to feel at home while still being in the city. The rooms are large and pleasantly-furnished .

Bed and Breakfast Description

The inn is named after the grandfather of the current owners, who decided to open the property as an inn in 2000.

Security is very important to the owners, and even the verandas are secured.

The rooms are large and beautifully furnished, and offer all the modern conveniences. Breakfast is served in the 2nd floor restaurant. For relaxing there is the lobby area, the restaurant, the veranda off of the rooms or the balcony facing Regent Street.

There is much to see in this area with its rich history, culture and traditions, don't miss the Mayan ruins. Throughout the country you will hear music. There are many artists that display paintings, jewelry, textiles, ceramics, furniture, sculpture, wood and slate carvings, basketry and more. Their work can be seen in the museums and galleries, as well as gift shops.

There are many lagoons, creeks and rivers where there is abundant wildlife and natural beauty. Also worthy of note is the Baboon Sanctuary and the Rancho Dolores and Spanish Creek Wildlife Sanctuary.

If you enjoy scuba diving you've come to the right place as this area offers the top 5 diving reefs in the world. There are three huge coral atolls and the second largest barrier reef in the world. There are shallow gardens of coral and steep drops with vibrant colored sponges and a great deal of other marine life.
