Bed and Breakfast Description

Ithaca B&B is a spacious, comfortable house with a large swimming pool and well tended garden full of life and color. On the property there are also several secluded areas with full sun or shade for reading or a siesta. Each morning a plentiful breakfast full of flavor and variety is offered to guests. Tea and coffee are always available as well as a trust bar full of goodies. Evening meals are served by prior arrangement.

Ithaca B&B provides a high standard of accommodation in a very clean, relaxed and informal setting. A comfortable guest lounge stays cool in the summer and is toasty in winter with a wood burning stove. Ithaca B&B is family run and is an ideal location for city breaks and walking holidays. In fact, your hosts Jeremy & Sophie are keen walkers themselves and would be happy to share the wonderful trails they have discovered. Your hosts are particularly sensitive to their guest's desire for privacy and discretion, while at the same time being very available for help and advice.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The historic and beautiful city of Granada is only 15 minutes drive away from Villa Ithaca, with easy access by car or bus. The city provides a wealth of attractions including the wonderful Alhambra palace, modern shopping complexes, cosmopolitan restaurants and diverse nightlife.

The countryside is wonderful for walking, riding, bird watching and stargazing. This part of Spain has some of the clearest skies in Europe and shooting stars are a familiar sight. The house is at the edge of the Parque Natural de Sierra Nevada. The Costa Tropical is a 35 minute drive through beautiful scenery.

The village of Padul has good bars, a local supermarket, pharmacy, bank and a market on Friday morning. Your hosts can recommend some excellent restaurants close by the house. The local bar-restaurant (only 5 minutes walk) has a very big swimming pool with diving board. They also have a tennis court and picnic area with a children’s play park.
