Situated in Istanbul's Historic Center Sultanahmet, Sumengen Hotel is a refined, comfortable, newly furbished hotel with a traditional atmosphere. In the heart of "Old Istanbul" it is just a short walk away from all the historical sites and attractions.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The Sumengen Hotel presents a warm, traditional hospitality to guests. The hotel is a 19th century Ottoman mansion which was renovated to a small hotel in 1995. Located in the "old city" Sultanahmet, it is in walking distance to many historical sites, restaurants, cafes, shops and markets.

All 25 rooms are equipped with private baths, telephones, air-conditioning, mini bar and satellite TV. Some rooms with sea view and Jacuzzi also. There is a marbled Turkish Bath (hamam), and a light and airy, terrace restaurant with a panoramic view of the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara. The ornate lobby has parquet floors and Turkish carpets everywhere. On the top floor is an open air terrace with the same fine views of the Sea of Marmara.

Hotel Sumengen Sultanahmet was recently renovated (2008). Room design, decor, and floor plans have were completely renewed and changed. The rooms are much larger and will have view of either the se, the street, or the garden.
