Venice, bed and breakfast: Corte Di Villa Colloredo
The Barchessa (side building) of the eighteenth century Villa Colleredo with its typical portico, recently restructured rural houses and barns, is a secluded peaceful place on the Riviera del Brenta. The harmonious geometrical space, once a throbbing heart of rural life, is still in a farm of more than 40 hectares, a rare oasis of green between Dolo and Mira, less than 20 km from Padua and Venice.

The Villa Colloredo property is surrounded by a big garden and cultivated fields. Perfect for those who enjoy jogging in the countryside or day dreaming about reaching Venice by bicycle along the Brenta river, while viewing architectural masterpieces such as the Villa Malcontenta from Andrea Palladio.

The location and architecture of Villa Colloredo are very functional and suitable for conferences and meetings. The Villa stands out for a balanced combination of ancient and contemporary either inside or outside. Most noticed is the perfect harmony between modern agriculture and recovered traditional Veneto landscape, modern iron sculptures standing in the park amongst the rare varieties of old fruit trees, as well as the old wooden beams of the granary together with paintings of some contemporary artists.

The group of buildings constitute a horseshoe shaped courtyard particularly suitable socializing. From spring to autumn people can have dinner outside with the beauty of the portico all around. Tasteful and delicious typical Mediterranean and Venetian food available upon request.
Area Attractions and Activities:
This itinerary allows you to discover some of the treasures of the province of Treviso.

Your first stop could be for a coffee in Castelfranco Veneto, one of Veneto’s medieval fortified towns with the best preserved brick walls.

Drive on to Fanzolo, a small village hiding Palladio’s Villa Emo. If you are interested in this architect’s work you should definitely go to Maser and visit Villa Barbaro, one of Andrea Palladio’s most beautiful buildings. This villa is private, but can be visited one or two days a week. Inside Villa Barbaro you’ll find Paolo Veronese’s frescos.

From Maser you can move on to Asolo, a small and beautiful town on the hills. In Asolo simply take a walk and go shopping, as there are many nice boutiques.

If you are interested in sculpture a drive on to Possagno is certainly worth to be able to visit Antonio Canova’s gallery of plaster casts and house.

On your way back stop in Treviso for dinner, as this town hides many of Veneto’s best restaurants.
