Schloss Haunsperg is a short drive from the beautiful city of Salzburg, Austria. The birthplace of the composer, Mozart. Visit his childhood home and museum and former residence where many musical artifacts are on display. Salzburg is where "Sound of Music" was filmed and where visitors can tour the many familiar locations as seen in the movie.

The scenic lake district is nearby, as well as the Eagles Nest at Berchtesgaden, the mountains and villages of Bavaria and the city of Hallein with the famous saltmine. Every August the internationally acclaimed, Salzburg Music Festival is held here.
