Costa Rica is known for its relaxed life-style and natural beauty. Among the Costa Ricans (Ticos as they call themselves) this way of life is known as pura vida. We invite you to experience pura vida at Villa Cabomar.

Villa Cabomar is a custom designed retreat steps from the beach in Costa Rica's cruise ship port on the Pacific.

Completed in 2005, Villa Cabomar features modern conveniences to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable. The kitchen has new appliances including microwave, cook top and oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The cabinets are custom made from native Costa Rican wood and counter tops are granite. Original art work by Costa Rican artists decorate the living/dining area and the bedrooms.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and glassware. You also have access to a washer and dryer and a workspace.

The heart of the house is the open-air atrium between the kitchen and the computer area/laundry. A custom designed spa with water jets and falling water makes the back patio a private retreat for relaxing and sun bathing.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The main beach is located one block (3 minute walk) from the house. Restaurants featuring fresh seafood as well as steaks and continental cuisine are within short distances.

Downtown Puntarenas with more restaurants, banks and ATMS, the central market, and modern, well-stocked supermarkets is a comfortable walk or a short cab ride.

Villa Cabomar features high-level security measures, including gated parking.

Puntarenas’ location makes it an easy jumping off point for day trips to the world famous Monte Verde Tropical Rain Forest National Park, the secluded beaches on Tortuga Island in the Gulf of Nicoya, Jaco, the town that first made Costa Rica famous for its surf, and canopy tours that give you a breathtaking experience in the tropical jungle. Other activities such as horseback riding on the beach, golf, and hiking are accessible. Our English-speaking concierge is available to assist.

Each of the three bedrooms are air conditioned and have ceiling fans and a private bath with shower. The bedrooms are furnished with full size beds, chest of drawers, ample closet space and televisions with cable TV.
