Bed and Breakfast Description

Marlborough House is a refreshing change from the usual English B&B. The tasty breakfasts alone are worth a visit. There is always a large display of freshly prepared fruit such as mango and kiwi salad, Melon with black cherries, fresh pineapple, pink and red grapefruit salad, strawberries and bananas. Organic yoghurts and juices. All this is followed by a selection of cooked to order breakfasts, such as the Marlborough house delicate savoury omelette's, (A signature dish), country style breakfast potatoes,organic tomatoes and mushrooms.

The house is elegantly furnished with antiques. All rooms are en-suite, spacious and unique. Some with four-poster beds, some with king size beds or antique wrought iron beds. Organic soap, shampoo & conditioner, complimentary sherry, and an abundant hostess tray are also provided in your room. To top it all off, Marlborough House is just a few minutes walk from nearly all the historical sites in Bath.

Besides the absolutely incredible ruins of the Roman Baths, Bath offers the world famous Museum of Costume and Assembly Rooms (Ball rooms from Jane Austin's time) the Jane Austen Center, fabulous architecture, and great antique shopping.

Close by is Stonehenge and the Avebury Stone Circle, the Cathedrals of Wells and Salisbury, the legend of King Arthur at Glastonbury, the gorgeous Wye Valley in Eastern Wales, the prettiest village in the Cotswolds, Castle Combe, and the delightful gardens of Ilford and Stourhead.

The Edwardian Room, is gorgeous and spacious and offers a small family perfect accommodation with one antique super-king size bed and a double-sized sofa bed, cleverly disguised as a Chaise Lounge. Fully en-suite with private wc. etc.
