Marlborough House is a refreshing change from the usual English B&B. The tasty breakfasts alone are worth a visit, with delicate omelette's, country style breakfast potatoes and American style French Toast with organic maple syrup.

The house is gracefully furnished and each room is unique and beautiful with comfortable antique beds, either four-poster or brass and iron Victorian, complimentary sherry and home-baked cookies with your hostess tray. To top it all off, Marlborough House is just a few minutes walk from nearly all the historical sites in Bath.

Bath is the center of the West Country, with a plethora of fascinating historical, archaeological, and beautiful sites located within an hours drive.

Besides the absolutely incredible ruins of the Roman Baths, Bath offers the world famous Museum of Costume and Assembly Rooms (Ball rooms from Jane Austin's time) the Jane Austen Center, fabulous architecture, and great antique shopping.

Close by is Stonehenge and the Avebury Stone Circle, the Cathedrals of Wells and Salisbury, the legend of King Arthur at Glastonbury, the gorgeous Wye Valley in Eastern Wales, the prettiest village in the Cotswolds, Castle Combe, and the delightful gardens of Ilford and Stourhead.
