Original paintings and inspirational verses adorn every wall in this charming sanctuary. There are delightful little nooks and crannies with five sitting rooms, each with a different view and mood. Sit in privacy and comfort while watching the trees rustle or enjoying the library.

Breakfast is cooked to order from the award winning menu and ranges from a full Irish breakfast to vegetarian options. It is served to guests in the elegant dining room overlooking the gardens.

We also have spring water available directly from the spring well on site for guests' delicious teas/coffee and sumptuous breakfasts.

There is an abundance of country pursuits: fishing, golf, tennis, horseback riding, walking and cycling. Killarney National Park is within driving distance and so are Ballybunion, Old Head Kinsale, Barrow-Tralee, Waterville, and the famous Ring of Kerry. 'Rocklands Riding Stables' is just a four minute walk away.

If it is golf you are looking for Kathleen's Country House is five minutes away from Killarney's famous Killeen and O'Mahony's Championship Courses, Beaufort's 18 hole, Ross's 9 hole and the Gap of Dunloe 9 hole golf courses. Golfing tee time reservations are a service to guests.

Kathleen will happily recommend and reserve a table at a restaurant of your choice. Killarney Town at night is a wonderful place with tremendous atmosphere. Most shops are open until midnight, and Irish music floats from almost every pub in town.
