In the heart of the wonderful Lecrin Valley in the picturesque village of Pinos del Valle, we have now opened a rare old house which offers accommodation and breakfast.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The house, parts of which date back 250 years, has been carefully restored, preserving most of its original beams and using traditional materials. It is situated on a square for easy access and off loading. Just 35 minutes from Granada airport and 7 minutes from the Autovia, it's very easy to find.

The accommodations consist of 6 bedrooms (5 double and 1 single) all with their own shower/bathroom.

Guests can also enjoy the use of the sitting room, dining room (both with fireplaces), a “Mexican/Moroccan Patio” with a small pool (the Dip) and a large roof terrace with sensational views of the valley, the village and the surrounding mountains including the Alpurajas.

The decor reflects the French owner’s love of all things Mediterranean and extensive travels in the East.

Also to keep away the cold of the winter nights, the house is fully heated. For those with mobility difficulties, there is accommodation on the ground floor with access to the dining room and the patio.

All bedrooms have en-suite bath/shower room and windows with inside shutters. Kettles are provided for teas and coffees.

All bedding is made of natural fibers (Cotton sheet and wool/cotton blankets). The rooms are cleaned and the beds made daily.

Area Attractions and Activities:

The seasons are clearly defined here; shops, bars and restaurants reflect the changing produce of the valley and the landscape changes color and scent throughout the year.

Pinos is a charming village spreading downwards in almost 2 separate levels (Upper and Lower Barrio) enclosing in its midst numerous orchards, lemon and orange groves. It has 2 churches one from the XVI century and the other from the early 19th. It is dominated by a tall pine covered hill topped by a shrine from which after a good ½ hour steep climb, the views are the best in the Valley.

The village is still very Spanish with mules and donkeys and is normally very quiet except during the Fiesta in Mid-August. There is one bar with Terrace and Palm trees that offers traditional food and tapas. After having ambled up and down the 2 barrios, there are further lovely walks and drives in the immediate vicinity.

L’Alhambra and all the wonders of Granada, its old streets and monuments are only half an hour away.

Most Popular Rooms:

The Margarita features a large very “Old Spanish” double room with beamed ceiling, fireplace and wood burning stove.

The Saffron Room features a double West facing room with access for the disabled, en-suite wet room and views over the Square.
