Bed and Breakfast Description

Sleep in rooms decorated in the owners passionate way. Have breakfast in a luxurious environment. You enjoy your "five o'clock tea" in a period drawing room with open fireplace, and the landlady will take care of your individual needs.

Villa Magnolia Richterswil features four rooms, the "Luxor", the "Magnolia", the "Fiorentino", and the "Orient", collectively comprising nine beds from the four rooms.

The "Luxor" is a mini suite with a double bed on the first floor above ground level. Classic simplicity and sunny Mediterranean colors transport you to the Nile, while the lovely bathroom has the aura of southern Europe.

The "Fiorentino" is a very quiet Florentine style double room in the basement. In the afternoon sunlight you will sense the atmosphere of Tuscany in this room - golden wheat fields, sunflowers and shady olive trees.

Finally, the "Orient", a large three bed room (one double bed plus one single) in the basement. A cozy hideaway. The decor in purple-red, dark blue and sand encourages dreams of a trip to the Orient. The sun looks in through the leaves of a fig tree.

Richterswil, "the most beautiful village on Lake Zurich", as it calls itself, is really a charming typical Swiss place to stay:

Old houses and modern facilities combined with beautiful public green along the lakeside - visit nice restaurants and shops waiting for you in an old village center - walk through tiny alleys or along the beach promenade.

After a 5 min walk you can rent a small boat, swim in the lake, or go fishing. Golf grounds and lots of other sports are available in the region.

Arrive to Richterswil by car (easy access from the motorway), by direct train from the airport, or even by steamboat at the pier of Richterswil, and walk to Villa Magnolia in just 3 minutes.

With the rapid transit railway system, punctual like a Swiss watch, it is easy to tour Zurich for sightseeing, shopping, or business. Take the ship to Rapperswil with its medieval towers or a train to famous Lucerne, or visit the architectural beauty of Einsiedeln (old town and monastery).
