Located in Fiji’s northern island, among Taveuni Island’s wild profusion of natural beauty, and tucked away on a gently sloping hillside, Maravu Plantation Resort is a tropical dream come true.
With only 21 Bure (bungalow) accommodations, the Resort is perfect for those wanting a private, intimate and relaxing vacations.

Nestled on 88 wild and lush acres, this romantic resort offers Deluxe & Honeymoon Bures as well as Honeymoon Suites and Ocean View Spa Villas. The décor of the villas blend rich tropical colors with complete comfort and polished elegance.

The bedrooms feature a queen or king size bed, beautiful wood floors, wicker and palm wood furniture, ceiling fan, mini-bar, tea & coffee facility, large tiled bathroom and secluded veranda. Room service, housekeeping and laundry service are available daily to ensure that guests are well taken care of.

The resort offers a wide variety of outdoor activities for those guests who want to explore and live every moment to its fullest. Adventure treks and island eco-tours are Maravu’s specialty.
The resort offers excursions by four-wheel drive, hiking tours along the coast, jungle trekking, and local village tours.

Horseback riding, croquet, mountain bikes, kayaks and motor boats are all at your disposal. A dive operation is also available offering state-of the-art equipment and boat. Some of the best dive spots in the world can be found a few minutes from the 100 meter-long white sand beach.

Area Attractions and Activities:

Tavoro Waterfalls : A "must do" featuring three large waterfalls with superb swimming and surrounded by tropical rain forest. Tracks, picnic areas and toilets provided. Walks range from 45 minutes to three hours return. Lavena Coastal Walk: One of the most wild and beautiful coastal walks in the South Pacific! From Lavena village you can experience Taveuni's eastern coastline by taking a flat track to the lower Wainabau Waterfalls. The Wainabau falls are situated within a beautiful amphitheater.

Along the walk you will also find lovely beaches offering snorkeling, scenic views and great places to relax. Vidawa Rain Forest Hike: A full day adventure featuring a guided trip through the heart of the Bouma National Heritage Park. There is abundant bird life, massive tropical trees and intriguing old hill forts and other archaeological remains. Best of all, the walk finishes with a swim at the Bouma Waterfalls - a cool way to end the trip.

Our Oceanview Spa Villas feature wonderful ocean views, a very large river rock courtyard, complete with a private outdoor shower and a 1000 gallon Jacuzzi Plunge Pool. The Villas are air-conditioned and have both an inside & an outside shower.
