The historical building that our hotel today was restored with special care, conserving as much as possible from the original architecture.

The building used to be home to the great mathematician Maestro Graciano Ricalde, as his friends and students used to call him.

Today Hotel Casa San Angel is home to 15 beautiful rooms that offer soothing comfort to our guests. You will also find two exclusive gift shops with the finest Mexican handcrafts from all parts of Mexico in one, and uniquely decorated elegant silk accessories in the other. Wake up and get ready for your day of adventures with our delicious breakfast in the Tala Bistro.

Hotel Casa San Angel can be found in Merida's historical center, at the beginning of the city named after its founder. The wide avenue features a yearly changing open air exhibition, where works of art from Mexican artists and of one selected other country are shown along the sidewalks. You will also find a unique representation of district architectural styles in the buildings along the avenue from the days when the prosperous owners of haciendas would display their fortune by the construction of huge mansions with the help of different European architects.
