From the lodge guests can enjoy many species of tropical birds and other wildlife such as toucans, emerald toucanets, blue-crowned motmots, sloths and squirrel monkeys. We are happy to help in arranging guided hikes to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve as well as other local tours. See the local activities page for more….

Monteverde, originally founded by Quakers, is presently a small mountain community most famous for the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and the Monteverde Cheese Factory. Monteverde Music Festival (Jan - March)

Monteverde School of the Arts offers weekly classes January through August. Classes include pottery, stained glass, furniture building, and instrument making just to list a few.

Most Popular Rooms:

Standard Rooms: We have Rooms with private bath and rooms with shared bath. Hot water is available in both. All our rooms have a queen size bed, warm woven fabric, Guatemalan furniture. Rooms in the main building have large balconies and lots of sunlight.

Bunk Rooms: A perfect option for the budget traveler or family. These cozy rooms have room for four in two bunk beds, shared Bathroom with hot water.
