Bed and Breakfast Description

Our cabins are spacious, wooden, Belizean style buildings cooled by fans, situated on the beachfront. Not fancy but comfortable. Great rates on extended stays! Reasonable monthly rates! Quiet area, parties only with owner's permission! Please respect our village life by not shouting or loud-talking in the streets late at night!

Great base for your active tourism--snorkeling, SCUBA, Sportfishing, kayaking. We offer birding trips on south Caye Caulker and Caye Caulker Forest Reserve and others; also trips to Caye Caulker and Hol Chan Marine Reserves, Gallows Point and other sites. Spectacular reefs loaded with healthy corals, fish and other life for the appreciative visitor.

Biologist birding/marine guide on premises. Custom tours/itineraries designed, inland and marine. Cabins are also great for guest favouring windsurfing, sailing and just chilling with a book.

Bring your underwater camera! Birders-don't forget your binoculars! Also-windsurfing lessons and rentals; sea kayaks rented with all profits going to The Siwa-ban Foundation-Non-profit local marine conservation group.

Please snorkel with care--our reef only stays beautiful and protects us from hurricanes when we treat it right! Please "take only pictures-leave only bubbles" -and keep the sand on the sea-bottom where it belongs!

Area Attractions and Activities:

About one mile off the Caye Caulker shoreline, lies the amazing Belize Barrier Reef, a World Heritage Site. With the barrier reef so near, there are numerous licensed and certified tour guides and dive operators to choose from, including our own on-site birding/snorkel operation.

Professional dive instruction courses and boating tours by qualified personnel are available, offering dive trips to the nearby sites, and outer atolls including the Lighthouse Reef and Blue Hole.

Watersports abound in Caye Caulker. In addition to snorkeling and scuba diving, visitors can enjoy swimming, fishing, sailing, kayaking, cruising and windsurfing. Trips can be arranged to Swallow Caye Wildlife Sanctuary south of Caye Caulker, where visitors can observe endangered West Indian Manatees. Manatee watching also a favorite at Caye Caulker Marine Reserve during certain times of the year.

Over 180 species of birds have been sighted here, including kinds seen only in island habitats.

Most Popular Rooms:

Our best cabin has 2 double beds, an overhead fan, a medium sized refrigerator, tiled hot/cold shower, well, 2 porches for cool breeze and relaxation. It's also only about 30 feet from the beach. It is high above the ground; simple, roomy yet comfortable.

Our medium cabin is located about 60' from the beach, with only coconut trees and 3 other cabins to share the scene. It has a double bed and comfortable couch, with natural marine decor. A covered porch runs the length of this spacious wooden cabin.
