As a private 365-acre nature reserve set along the banks of the Macal River in the foothills of the Maya Mountains, we provide a unique rain forest experience for thousands of people while maintaining an unspoiled ambiance.

Our jungle lodge is comprised of 23 charming palm-thatched cottages, including two treetop Jacuzzi suites, a macal cottage, a spa villa, two garden suites, a honeymoon sky room and an orchard villa, all nestled along the riverside in a setting of unmatched beauty and tranquility.

Our restaurant is under an enormous umbrella of thatch and constructed from local hardwoods and thatched with bay leaf. The cuisine is a mixture of Caribbean, Belizean and International dishes.

The Spa at Chaa Creek, is set above the Macal River with a panoramic view of the Maya Mountains and lush Belizean rain forest. Along with our professional staff and state-of-the-art equipment and facilities, the Spa provides a tranquil and extraordinary sensory experience that promotes harmony between the inner and outer self.

The Reserve's Natural History Center and Butterfly farm and within easy walking distance of the cottages.

The Macal River Jungle Camp, located within the nature reserve a half-mile down river from the lodge, features ten fully-screened casitas, each having two comfortable beds with fresh linens and a private sheltered porch for quiet relaxation and peaceful views in the undisturbed jungle habitat.

A traditional Mestizo kitchen providing wholesome, traditional Belizean meals, and friendly local staff ensure a unique, comfortable rain forest experience.
